Homemade wooden yo-yo: so i figured ou t recently that nobody had posted any make your own yo yo (from scratch). all there is on yo yo's is how to change cheap plastic ones into not as cheap plastic ones that sleep. so i decided to make my own and here it is! this yo y.... Yo-yo string (available at some hobby stores and online; you can also buy a very cheap yo-yo and use the string from that; what you’ll do: 1. put on your goggles. using the hole-saw bit, drill out the two wooden disks. (the pilot bit will make a hole in the center.) 2. sand the wooden disks very smooth. make sure that the edges are rounded.. The wooden yoyo is an early-game yoyo, and generally the first available to the player.it is the weakest of all yoyos. it remains deployed for about four seconds before returning automatically to the player. it has a spin duration of 4 seconds, and can reach up to 9 tiles..
I built a yo-yo out of some black walnut and cherry wood i had left over in my shop. this was a quick project that, while simple, took some finesse and ingenuity to properly execute. hope you have some fun making one for yourself. video: ..
